Downe House Global Academy

AXA Richards Lights, Camera, Action: An Introduction to Film Studies Mar24

Description
In this course, we will explore one of the giants of modern drama, the American playwright
Arthur Miller. We will read and watch his most important and famous play, Death of a Salesman,
as well as sampling some of his other most significant works. As well as exploring a key figure
within modern literature, we will also use this as an opportunity to discuss the form of the play
itself more broadly and its twin existence on the page and the stage. This will help students
when reviewing any future play they encounter.
