Creative Disruption- preparing the students of today for jobs of tomorrow (AF)

Description
We are entering the era of Generation Alpha, the first group of children to be born entirely in the 21st Century and the 3rd Millennial. These children face rapid changes unknown to previous generations. This is the age where children’s entertainment has been increasingly dominated by smart technology and they are the first to incorporate artificial intelligence into everyday life. Change is all around and we must prepare our children for a future unknown to us, where the best education is accessible, previous life-threatening diseases become manageable conditions, and consumers’ every desire is at the touch of their fingertips. Knowledge is power and this course aims to explore the changes that technology is aiding. Students will explore the rapid developments in education, health and consumer goods and evaluate their success.

Section 1; To introduce the students to the course, we will begin by understanding the economic concept behind Creative Disruption. We will explore what it means and look at the most recent changes that have taken place around the world.

Section 2; we will focus on three different areas, education, health and consumer goods. We will explore in detail how each area has changed, and the likely impact technology will have in the future.

Section 3; Explores how the future is looking bright as both consumers and businesses adapt to the constant disruptions caused by emerging technology. Students will present their findings based on their own research on creative disruption.
